Simon joined Cambridge Associates in 2005 and has more than 30 years investment experience spanning governance and policy setting, asset allocation and manager selection as well as the management of listed equity portfolios.

In 2021 Simon was asked to lead development of the firm’s approach to climate change from an investor’s perspective, along with implementation of our Net Zero commitment as  founder member of the Net Zero Investment Consultant Initiative (NZICI). Simon is currently chair of NZICI and is a member of the GFANZ working group on portfolio alignment measurement.

Until 2021 Simon led the firm’s Endowment & Foundation practice in Europe and in addition to his climate work still directly advises a small number of large endowments. He has been a discretionary CIO for endowment clients and, before focusing on non-profits, gave strategic advice to several sovereign wealth funds ranging in size from $2bn to more than $100bn.

Simon holds an MSc in Finance from the London Business School, and an MA in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
